Review content:
Having formerly lived in Mexico's DF (Mexico City), I'm always looking for real Mexican-style tacos and I usually come up disappointed. Strangely enough, the most authentic tacos are usually found in taco trucks -- but these rarely stay in the same place, and the quality can be wildly uneven from one truck to another.\r
\r
When I drove by ""Tacos DF"" on Parker road, I was eager to try it and see if the tacos lived up to my expectations. They did -- and I can honestly say that they're some of the best I've had anywhere. When I ordered my tacos, the meat was cooked fresh on the grill (rather than slopped out of a lukewarm basin like at so many other places). The carne asada is very high quality -- it tastes like they're using ribeye steak. The ""al pastor"" (pork) is nicely marinated and has a great flavor.\r
\r
There is a salsa bar with 3 or 4 good salsas and sliced limes, and an informal but spacious dining area.\r
\r
They also have tortas (sandwiches), burritos, quesadillas, and a few other items that I haven't seen on menus anywhere else around here. I'll definitely be back!\r
\r
Pros: Fresh food, quick service
