Review content:
as a long time (18 years) customer at this store i was amazed today mon, 8/30/11, that they refused to take returns on 2 flashlights and some batteries i purchased on saturday before hurricane irene. ($70 worth for 2 flashlights, 3 of those large lantern batts. and about a dozen ""D"" batts ($1.75 ea.)) a rough hand drawn notice was taped to the cash computer; ""no refunds on storm related items"". it seems they would rather take quick storm related profits over long term customer satisfaction. i told this story to the cus.svc. lady at costco, where i also returned some batteries. she thought it was bad business practice, as well. they seem not to care about customer relations at all. that, in a mom and pop store is bad practice; esp. when there is a new lowe's store less than a mile away, as well as these people's brother, who broke away from them to open his own store in the next town. oh, well, they lost a customer for ever. i said ""goodby"" as i left the counter. i'll take the mile drive every time, now. lowe's prices are at least 20% lower, anyway. i paid 8 bucks for a post bulb that is 4 bucks at the big box store, once...never again.\r
