Review content:
Recently my old 300SD has developed an intermittent problem. After it runs for awhile, the first gear slips. It won't do first gear. The engine revs up and the car slaps into 2nd gear. Not good.
I took the car to Lakeside Motors, because I had read their nice CitySearch reviews. They kept the car three days. Used up a third of a tank of fuel, presumably in test driving the car? Charged me $750. By the time I got the car home, the transmission was slipping in first gear again! I called Jim. He said bring the car in, but there's no way I'll pay these guys more money to dink around with the car. I'm never going back there.
Also, I'm very sure that the right rear wrap-around bumper skirt wasn't bent when the car went into their shop. It is now.
