This company does not deserve even one star. They put Hardiplank on our house ($30,000) and neglected to put any flashing on the house. The result: mold in walls, cracking caulk and drywall around windows, peeling paint, water pouring through drywall returns when it rained. The person who replaced the drywall did not know how to match paint, and we no longer have a 90 degree angle at the window returns, and the caulk job was amateurish. I posted a review on Angie's List and in a rebuttal, the owner did not take responsibility for the work of his own company, and flat out stated we had "a small leak." A small leak at different windows in different rooms on different floors and different sides of the house. Amazing Siding's Amazing Leak. He said this without ever even looking at the damage. Either he was lied to, he lied, or he is delusional. He is clearly in damage control mode, and you may be able to get a decent job at reduced cost. But watch them closely.
