Review content:
I've received treatment from Beth, at Kennebec Therapeutics, on two occasions. The first time was to address a recurring problem with my left shoulder which I've had for over ten years. My left shoulder becomes severely tense with pain echoing down my arms and back. It tends to occur when I am under stress and while massage has always helped Beth's treatment was enlightening. Not only did she releve me from pain and give me greater range of movement, I learned that the pain I felt in my left shoulder was actually because my right was too tight and my left was too lose. This is why when I would stretch and massage my left shoulder where I felt the pain it did not provide much relief. Now when my left shoulder is painful I stretch and massage my right and the pain subsides.
Amazing!!
After over ten years of treatment for this condition Beth is the only therapist that has given me such prudent and simple advice. Her knowledge of the human body is that of a master bodyworker; which became increasingly evident to me at my next treatment for pain in my lower back and buttocks. Her ability to pinpoint the source of the problem was astonishing (I had seen two other therapists before Beth for the same problem and they were unable to identify the source of the issue). Again she gave me tremendous relief from pain and an exercise I could take with me to manage my pain. I believe the work she accomplished with me in one session was equal to multiple (more expensive) treatments with doctors and therapists.
Incredible!!
My drive to the appointment was an hour long and unbearably painful, I had to stop along the drive to walk around to ease my pain but my drive back was pain free and easy. She also gave me helpful tips for positioning my body so sitting was less painful.
I feel very lucky to know such a talented therapist. I wholeheartedly recommend her to friends, family and anyone with pain.
