Review content:
My husband and I hired Mr. Adkins for a modification of visitation for his son. For something that took almost 2 years we are displeased with the outcome. Not one time we were able to talk to the judge but were at court twice. We are a dual military family living in MS and had to travel to Valdosta and pay for food and lodging. The initial order was we were to get 4-6 weeks in the summers and the standard alternation holiday. We wanted for my husband’s ex to meet us half way!!!! Being the military couple we are, we needed something vague in case we PCS. Basically needed it to say meet half way or pay half the travel cost. This was not done. Also tried to split life insurance for both children and that did not happen. Mr. Adkins was able to increase the amount of child support that my husband pays by $115, now $665. His explanation to us was that our income is more than hers! No crap, we BOTH work!!!! Not happy at all. We heard nothing from the judge and don't know if he even argued the case for us or my husband’s rights! At one point about a year in Mr. Adkins stated that he should have been charging us more because it was taking more time than he thought, which by the way was because my husband’s ex could not come to agreement, he then stated that he was not charging. When we received the final judgment in the mail, it was accompanied by a bill for $1800+..... No breakdown of charges or anything!!!! It felt more as though he was working for the other team.
