This office is fine for cleanings, but if your child needs serious dental work, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!! My four year old went in for extensive work under "sedation" and they refused to let me go into the back with him. Want to know why? Because they strapped his entire body down with restraints, even his forehead!! When I went back to get him his face was flushed and he his eyes were all wet because, as he told me, he had been crying and screaming the entire time!! I understand the work needed to be done, but there are other options such as general anesthesia if it upsets the child this much. But did they stop and consider this for my child? No, instead they just strapped him down and let him cry until it was over with. Can you imagine how terrified my poor little four year old must have been?! I broke down crying as I was checking out so Dr. Pitts came out to talk to me and assured me that it was okay becuase due to the sedative he wouldn't remember anything. She also went on to tell me she was glad I was upset because maybe next time my son wants candy or sugary drinks I'll tell him no. Really?! This doctor is as fake as they come, don't let her pretty face and warm smile fool you, she is NOT out to do what's best for your child, she is out to make a buck. Anyone who can sit there and continue their work while the child is strapped down crying and screaming in fear and pain clearly has no heart.
