Heres the 411 on this school. I went to the other unamed school, and almost signed up. Thank god I didn't . I didn't feel right at all when I stepped in there . They are not very friendly and inviting . Matter of fact they were more concered with my name and phone number and how I would be paying if I decied to sign-up. Two days later I went into NYBS and I knew this place was for me. The teacher I was talking to was(AXEL) he made me laugh and made me feel very comfortable he didn't care about hooking me. He told me about a free trail class I thought free why not. So I came back in on monday and, halfway thought the free class I was convienced this was the place for me. I was older than the rest of the students in my class. I have a college degree in Hospitality Management , and was also a corporate trainer for many years working for a large well know restaurant chain. I believe I know what It takes to train students . And let me tell you so do they . There class is structured well taught, insightful and lots of fun. You work at your own pace, and they let you come in early they really teach you alot. I came in because I was out of the industry for ten years and was having trouble even with a degree getting back in. I wanted a change of pace. I no longer wanted to manage. I was always jealous of the bartenders making all the (cash) money . You see a general manager usually has to work at least two more hours then the bar staff and they always got payed more than me. From what I saw local bar managers call NYBS and beg for help. They must know that there going to get hooked up with someone worthy. Well I've rambled on enough. One more thing before I was done the job placement babe (sorry couldn't help myself) her name is Allyson. She had a couple of possible jobs waiting for me. Now I'm back in the business and making great money . THANKS AGAIN Brian, Axel, and Allyson ..You guys are great ..They can come in to my bar anytime and the drinks are on me.......jt
Pros: THEY ARE
Cons: THE OTHER GUYS
