Businiess name:  Genesis Health Care

Review content:
My mother was in Genesis Healthcare Randallstown, MD for 3 weeks. During this time: #1 - she had to call ME at home because she had been laying in urine for over an hour after someone told her they would "be right back" AND after she pressed the call button 2 more times. This was on the first morning she was there. #2 - it took them over a week to get her on her regularly prescribed medication for restless leg syndrome. She was unable to sleep for most of this period. #3 - it took 3 requests and another week for them to prescribe pain medication for her dialysis treatments when she had to lay in a reclining position and told the nurses that the pain in her back was 10 out of 10. #4 - she was promised a leave of absence pass and when she went to leave there was no pass written. We had gone through a lot of trouble to gather her friends together to raise her spirits, and when she tried to leave anyway, she was threatened with the line that "your insurance will not pay for your stay if you leave without permission". These were just the "big" problems. There were several more, mostly about the unresponsiveness of the medical staff.
