I recently had to have my gas fireplace repaired. I called several different companies advertising that they serviced gas fire places, the price quotes to just come out to diagnose my problem varied drastically. Several companies diagnosed the problem over the phone from pressure regulators, gas valves, worn out gas flow tubes with prices from $225.00 to $750.00 to start. The people at Guirkins seemed very upfront telling me they would have to check my unit in order to properly diagnose it, they also said since my house is six years old that most likely it shouldn't be anything major. Their service charge was reasonable but more then that they made me feel like I could trust them. When their technician arrived at my house at the time they said he would he found that I only needed a good cleaning of my system. My fireplace now works better then it ever has and they charged me less then they originally quoted me. Their technician even cleaned the glass on the fireplace and left the area around the fireplace cleaner then it was before he serviced it. I wasn't home but my wife said their technician was extremely knowledgeable , polite and professional. I am glad I decided to try them instead of any of the other companies I called. I will definitely use them from now on for all my plumbing and heating needs. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family and anyone else who needs any of the services they provide. They are an honest company with qualified personal and treat customers fairly.
