Brought a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD 5.3L in, because of rough idling when stopping. To diagnose, remove and replace 8 spark plugs with AC Delco iridium, the total cost was 397.80. This included a 2 charge for using a charge card. Problems: I told them to call before any work was done and to let me know the cost in advance. I was only called when the work was done, with no discussion of cost. I would not have had spark plugs changed for $320 (diagnostic & chg card fee totaled the rest), which is probably why they didn't call........and to boot, it took them 3 full days! Messages weren't relayed to the intended individuals was another problem and could also have been a reason why I wasn't contacted prior to the work being done. In fairness to them, I called back, after thinking about the charges, and they offered 2 free oil changes for myself and 2 for my wife, in order to smooth things over. Maybe the price was fair. You be the judge. I'm a little scared of taking them up on their offer. Kind of like returning food in a restaurant and wondering what you'll get back......Normally, I just don't return, share my experience and lesson learned the hard way. Word of mouth is the best/worst type of advertising!
