Review content:
6 weeks and $3961.94 to resurface heads, replace valves, spark plugs, water pump, timing belt, etc for my Tundra only to find a fuel leak a week later. Tech and mechanic recommends replacing cracked fuel pressure regulator estimate $3-400! I questioned the mechanic if he had to remove the regulator to resurface the heads? He says "no." I deny the service and take the truck to a friends recommendation and have the fuel regulators o-ring replaced for just a few dollars! Not happy with that!
15 months later, I replaced my tires with a vehicle inspection and they recommend replacing the water pump and timing belt. I take the estimate and the work order that was done by Big Island Toyota to Billy Watan and he shrugs his shoulder and say "well...you had a year?" Figures...just long enough for warranty to expire. Not satisfied with the response the conversation continues until he puts his hand to my face and says "good bye!" Don't know where this guy was raised but here on the Big Island, that's disrespectful and no class! I have owned a Corolla, Highlander, Tacoma and now a Tundra all purchased from off island dealership due to friends previous experience. I DO NOT recommend Big Island Toyota especially dealing with incompetent technicians such as Billy Watan and Tyler Russel!
