The only people they are willing to help are those who have no budget.
The second I told the manager I couldn't spend more than $100 at the store, he stopped trying to help me. He told me, ""if you want comfort shoes, you have to pay for them."" I was perfectly happy to buy a pair of shoes from them, maybe not $120-Danskos, but a lesser brand for $80, and he was completely unwilling to help me.
Any time I asked a question he replied curtly, and when I asked for help looking through clearance he told me the shoes aren't that great and they're not what I'm looking for (what does he know what I'm looking for?).
So take home message: don't come with a budget, and don't look in the clearance because apparently this store chooses to sell substandard shoes.
