Review content:
We finally made it to Stella Sola after hearing rave reviews from friends and family. We made a 9pm reservation, and arrived slightly late at 9:15pm and the place was humming. They moved us to the bar, where we were greeted by a warm and friendly bartender that poured us two glasses of house Pinot that was reasonably priced and very good. After a short 5 minute break we were seated at our table in the middle of the restaurant. The waiter was friendly and engaging, so much so we asked him to bring out his favorite appetizer and surprise us with his favorite main course. We had never done this blind order thing before, so it added some suspense to the evening. The appetizer that he chose was a meat plate with country ham (salty) and finally cut cured ham. Very, very good. The main course was steak strips in an interesting sauce of beans, mint, and something else. It was very good. The beef was slightly tough, but the flavor was exceptional.
The only down side the place was that it was noisy. Not as bad as El Patio's acoustics, but bad enough to make it hard to hear someone sitting directly across the table from you. Over all experience was a good one, and the atmosphere was also excellent.
Pros: Food and service
Cons: Poor indoor acoustics
