I answered an add for a sale mattress...was greeted by man eating a sandwiche and with a mouthful of food asked ""What do you want?"" I asked to see the advertised mattresses and was taken past the mattress dept into a dark room where a mattress was lying on a dirty floor and he said ""here do you want it?"" I explained that I had a back problem and needed a good mattress and was willing to pay more for a good night sleep, he said ""What the #@*& do you expect for this price and laughed and walked away. I went to a store down the street ""Motor City Mattress"" where a professional gave me a lesson in how mattresses were made and showed me 8 different models of higher end mattresses. He convinced me that Latex would be best for my problem and after spending only $750 my wife and I have been sleeping like babies for months. DO NOT SHOP AMERICAN DISCOUNT they are rip offs and have bad attitudes with customers. The man knew nothing about customer service. I was suprised that after sharing this story how many people I know had the same or WORSE experience. One friend of mine was sold a used mattress from them and never told. It smelled so bad he had to paint his bedroom after throwing it out ( the company, American< refused to refund or exchange it even afterr LYING to them, the salesman laughed at him and said ""thats what you get for $400 and hung up on them. I suggest you shop around before buying a mattress but NEVER shop at AMERICAN. thanks Chuck
