Review content:
I have decided to update this review after going back to the Orenco Station Grill a 2nd time (which should be a good sign for them!). So two things first of all.... A: Not sure if they still have the banner ?Now under new management? (which frankly is never a good sign for me) but it's probably about time they removed it. B: The reviews on line were less then stunning, however, I'm just going to put it honestly. Cons: 1: Prices are a little on the dear side, but just a little. 2: The special? (blue cheese steak) sure wasn?t a prime steak, but it was flavorful and cooked the way I requested it. 3: On my previous visit the service was slow, very very slow. However this time (6pm on a Friday evening) it was quick, prompt and very friendly (other service was friendly too, but the speed made the difference!). 4: All in all the place seemed to have a better direction this time. The menu may have been a standard ?rush hour? menu perhaps, but I didn?t see a special of ?Dom Perinon with a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich? on the menu for $150 this time around (whoever thought of that idea needs their head examined). 5: Frozen Fries?.. for the prices, they could have had some fresh home cut fries? It requires little prep, and it just gives you more points than whipping out a bag of frozen fries. The Vegetables were hard? but tasted fantastic?.. and I actually appreciated that. It gave them texture and frankly enjoyed them as a side. 6: I don?t know if these were changes that were recently made, or if this is just a rush hour service, but I really did have a better experience this time around. So please, if the management is reading this, keep going in that direction! So would I go there again? Well??? Yes I would. The first time, my main complaints were the slow service, the lack of REAL ingredients ?fresh cut fries, real cream in the deserts? that sort of thing. The last two haven?t changed but at least the service was FAST this time around. They still need to work on their prices, either reduce them, or keep them the same, but put a little more effort into the food quality. As I stated before, there is huge potential for this place in this area, but they need to make sure they do it right to retain their customers. Otherwise people will either just eat at the Indian just up the road, or hop on the Max that?s 5 minutes walk away and go somewhere else. I feel the three stars out of five is on the button for this. Good food sure, but with a ""small"" bit of effort, they could easily get up to 4 stars.
