From the time that this store opened I recommended it to friends as a place to buy pipes and tobacco. I purchased gifts there for pipe smoking friends. I will tell them after this to purchase tobacco products in some other store. December 29, 2011 went to this store to make a purchase. There was a dog I had never seen before on the other side of the shop door. I love dogs, but I had never met this one before so I hesitated and called through the partly open door, to the owner at the counter. When he finally bothered to look up he yelled over to me about letting cold air in and told me to ""either come in or go all the way out"" . I was careful enough to want to avoid letting his dog out onto Beaver Street, he had the dog there, and he treats a customer like this? As I made my purchase this guy was just as nasty and mean and rude as anyone could be. He took my money quickly enough...without even a thank you or another word. And by the way, more than one of the pipes purchased as gifts for friends broke soon after. More than $60 for a pipe and it breaks in the first month? I say...avoid this tobacco store. There are others. This owner had zero appreciation of my previous business...was deliberately mean and insulting. My recommendation...avoid him.
