Review content:
Worst camping experience of my life! We arrived on Mon to a very dirty park. I had made a mistake to pay in full for the week just by the appearance of the website! Trash around the park wasn?t picked up until Wed PM. We picked the best available & had to deal with glass on the ground (appeared to be from a shattered auto window). The ?playground? was a slide & two swings. The plastic slide was only attached by 1 bolt. There was an unsecured platform between the stairs & the slide (there was no railings). Very unsafe for little ones. Bathrooms were nasty & weren?t cleaned until Thurs. The ride to our river float was scary. The bus was run down & had no seatbelts. The man drove, or raced, around the curvy roads as I clutched my stomach & my 22 month old! Thursday night a group moved into the spot behind us. After hearing the F-word several times my husband asked them to keep it down. They did for a little bit but they were loud well past the 11:00 pm ?Quiet Time?. A quote from their website: ?Family Campground Quiet Hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM? Fri night got worse. The group doubled & then some. They played Truth or Dare. Our 12 year old son was given a horrible version of sexEd. My husband again asked them to be quite. They were for a whole 3 minutes, maybe. The security guard came through around 11:30 & told everyone to turn off their radios. For the next 3+ hours the campground from one end to the other whooped & hollared. Our neighbors carried on with their Truth and Dare, even daring someone to steel from another camp site (we assumed it would be ours!). Security never came through again. Upon talking to the owner Sat morning, I was told it was my responsiblility to ?find? the security and let them know about our problem. We hadn?t seen security the ENTIRE week! Where were we supposed to look for security at midnight so they could deal with 100+ rowdy campers???!!! The owner offered no apology, & when I asked for a refund he said he ?couldn?t do that?.
