I live only a couple of blocks from Jacoby's, having moved here from Hamden last year. But it has become a real favorite of ours; it would not matter if I lived much farther away - I'd still go there often!
Jacoby's can be a bit pricey - but the food and service are well worth the price. However, the ""Early Bird Specials"" - served nightly until 6 - are truly special. Not only is the food of excellent quality, and beautifully prepared, but the specials also include the copious salad bar, a full meal in itself. I've probably eaten there at least 15 times - and have found the service to be admirably friendly and professional every time.
One thing that I found ironic: the previous reviewer is from New Jersey, where I grew up. I agree with Nancynj: Jacoby's is wonderful!
