You'd love to get behind a place like this. You hope it's a grand old-school steak place. The sad truth is it's pretty frayed around the edges. As of 11/24/08 - steaks gave no sign of having been aged - pretty flavorless, salad bar was lackluster, with gloppy pasta salads and decorations of wilted kale, oil floating on the top of soups that looked like they'd been in and out of the cooler a few times, and the beans served with the main dish were positively grey. The hosts and staff were friendly, but something is not right here at these prices.
Pros: character, friendly staff
Cons: overpriced, lackluster food, no menu for children/smaller appetites
