Review content:
We had dinner there last evening and unfortunately, we probably won't be going back. We ordered two glasses of wine. One glass had lipstick all over the rim. A basic server requirement is to always look at the glass before pouring and we watched our waitress pour the wine so she was responsible. One of us ordered a pasta special and one ordered gnocchi with tomatoes and basil. I asked the owner, Bob, if the gnocchi was made in house and he indicated they were made by Pasta Mia. I decided to try it anyway knowing that Pasta Mia has a good reputation for fresh pastas. We were first brought salads which while the dressing had a good flavor, the lettuce was mostly iceberg (little to no nutritional value) and was saturated with dressing. On top of that, we watched the waitress from afar ""beat"" the lettuce with a pair of tongs to mix it with the dressing, totally bruising and wilting what we're guessing was once crispy. We requested garlic bread, our mistake. I could be wrong but it looked and tasted like something you'd get out of the freezer. It certainly wasn't freshly made and it tasted like, well, paper. Our entrees came and while the pasta special looked and smelled fair, the gnocchi was in a pool of canned tomatoes and juice. I disagree with Bob, the owner. The gnocchi wasn't good. Maybe it wasn't fresh, maybe it was overcooked. The ""soft potato pillows"" were truly a disappointment and the canned tomato sauce even worse. On a positive note, I hear that their pizzas are killer!
