Review content:
Jeannie's is a great little used bookstore! I read a lot of paperbacks and buying them brand new can get very expensive. Used books is the way to go and I always return to Jeannie's to shop. The owner stocks a well-organized variety of genres including romance (a large section of these), mystery, westerns, suspense, and science fiction. The prices are very good - 1/2 off the original cover price. Selection and quality of books are also very good. The store is small, but it is clean & bright and customer service is super friendly. If you have books to trade, their policy is on par with other used bookstores: 25% of the retail price for each book that the owner accepts for trade credit. Then you can use your trade credit toward buying more books. I definitely recommend checking out this bookstore.
Pros: Nice bookstore with great prices and friendly customer service; convenient Durham location with plenty of parking
Cons: Would love to see longer hours - Jeannie's is closed on Sundays and nights
