Review content:
Mr. Rhodes installed a laminate floor in my home. He neglected to read the manufacturer's instructions and installation guide, and the floor is splitting apart. Ten minutes of preparation time would have saved $1000s. He commented that he installs floors like this all the time, which to me means he pays no attention to how something should be done, he does it his way - warning, this voids all warantees. Be very careful using Rhodes' Renovations This occured in early 2009. He insisted the problem was due to the dog's water bowl. It is now late 2010. He has stalled over 15 months, and even after an independent consultant of his choice said he did it wrong, he refuses to even review his work, let alone fix the situation. He also did a major renovation along with the floor. Two of the doors are still hung poorly, he didn't install some of electrial as we requested, and constantly trys to talk you into what he wants. He also charged for trim work in the kitchen that he never did, and refuses to refund this overpayment. Though I've known him for years, and he does good work at his own home, I currently consider him a Fly-by-night, as he does not stand behind his work, and refuses to correct his mistakes. He will ignore you if you have any complaints. I'd be very cautious before considering hiring Rhodes Renovations.
