Review content:
From the hustle and bustle of Valencia street at 17th, the Bar Tartine is a little oasis of tasty european food in a casual setting. The bread from the affiliated cafe is to die for. Baked hours ago. We dined on marrow with a fava bean salad. Good except that they could learn from La Suite how to serve the marrow with the accompanying salt. (crostini overpowered the marrow and was too hard to eat too). The Gem lettuce salad with creme fraiche was incredible. Short ribs melted in your mouth with a savory and creamy polenta. I've had better quail. All in all, a nice restaurant with some outstanding dishes in an informal setting. Another great addition to the neighborhood.
Pros: bread, wine list
Cons: parking
