Review content:
I booked my son's birthday party at Little Buckaroo Ranch in April (almost 4 months ahead of time). Wednesday before the party I realized there was a 60% chance of rain so I contact LBR to find out what happens if it rains thinking they probably had an indoor barn that could be used. Miriam's (owner) response was that if it was raining the morning of she would call me and we'd have to reschedule for another day. Here?s the problem, the party starts at 10:30, if she calls at 9:00am to ""reschedule"" I have very little time to contact 50 people to let them know the party has been cancelled, moved, etc. Especially when the ranch is almost an hour outside of Austin, it would be hard to contact everyone before they left their houses. When I expressed my concern on this, I was basically told tough luck. So I decided to go the safe route and cancel the venue and find somewhere new. When I called, Miriam was completely rude and practically yelled at me for cancelling. I made no argument about them keeping my deposit even though I felt the rain policy was unfair. Beware: owners are not very friendly and if there is a chance of rain, your party will be cancelled.
