My lady friends and I went to Patou last night and were treated to a wonderful meal served to us by gracious waitstaff, while listening to a terrific jazz quartet. We enjoyed all our dishes immensely, of special note was a chilled watercress soup garnished with grilled jumbo shrimp (watercress soup being a personal favorite of mine). One of the things we enjoyed most about our experience was that our group, hip ladies in our mid-sixties, felt equally at home with the stylish 20 to 30 somethings at the next tables, as well as the business crowd types at the bar. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, graceful and cosmopolitan.
