Review content:
I went to Patou during restaurant week with my husband and another couple. I had heard some bad reviews but was definitely pleased that I decided to go. Our waiter was excellent and service throughout the night was exceptional. He suggested a bottle of very nice French wine. I ordered the mussels as an appetizer and while they were not the best I have ever had, they were definitely very good. My husband had the calamari, which was excellent. Our guests had the marguerite pizzette (basically just a little pizza, but great for picky eaters and flavorful) and the escargot in a fluffy pastry, not my favorite, but decent. I had the cassoulet for dinner (usually an appetizer), which was great. The sausage was my favorite part. My husband had the coq au vin which was full of flavor. Our guests had the scallops and the cous cous, both of which were very good. Dessert was excellent all around. The cheese platter was very tasty and the chocolate mousse divine! Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and will definitely return. Pros: food, service, atmosphere
