Review content:
I am not a professional review writer. In fact this is the first time I've ever posted a review and it's not as though I've never had a bad meal or poor service. None the less, the experience I had a Patou this past Saturday was enough to move me to action. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely day walking the streets of Philadelphia and when we came across Patou it seemed the perfect way to complete the day. We were seated almost immediately and our drink orders take. Bread was soon served and our orders taken. After that, things went down hill very quickly. We waited 30 minutes after placing our order to receive the first course which was a chilled soup and when the server finally came to the table he only had soup for one. Following our first course, we waited an hour with no sign of the server or our entrees. When we finally flagged our server and enquired on the wait time, she said she would check and promptly disappeared again. After another 20 minutes we requested the manager. Another 15 minutes and a second request later we finally spoke with someone - we're still not sure it was the manager. Anyway, he said he would check on our entrees and make an adjustment to the bill. 10 minutes later - now beyond the 2 hour mark from the time we were seated - we were served our entrees. To our dismay, the fish was raw! That was the last straw. We spoke with the ""manager"" again and informed him we were leaving and would not be paying. Neither my husband nor I have ever done anything like that before. We ended up eating a piece of pizza for dinner at 9:30 at a little pizza shop about 2 blocks away. I don't recall the name but the service was ten times better than what we received at this establishment!
