Review content:
I've been eating here for years, largely because I lived in the neighborhood and it was convenient. In the more recent past it had become just OK, reliable and palatable but not outstanding, but convenience outweighed the lackluster cuisine. Every time I feel like I'm coming down with something, I go there for the hot and sour soup (my standard cure-all) and whatever else tempts me. However, last night I had occasion to order a bunch of takeout and was delighted with the quality of the food. I don't know if they have a new cook or new management or what, but from my phone call on, the experience was pure pleasure. The gentleman who answered the phone and took my order spoke excellent English, answered my questions easily and offered recommendations upon request. My order was ready when I got there, well-packaged and boxed for my convenience. Prices, as always, are reasonable. The food was sublime. Order the walnut prawns (his suggestion). To die for. Every item was perfect: house fried rice, pork chow mein, egg rolls, potstickers, won ton soup, sweet and sour pork, steamed rice, the amazing walnut prawns and more. A flawless meal. I'll be a much more frequent diner in the future after last night's brilliant success. Highly recommended (and I wouldn't have said that a month ago). Pros: Excellence of food Cons: Prosaic ambience
