Incredible store! Phyllis opened the store in 1976. Shopping there is a treasure hunt. There are curios of every type in every corner of this highly organinzed store. I spend hours there, it is an adventure, a fun and friendly experience. There are several thousand hand painted Porcelain Limoges Boxes from France, the largest ""on display"" collection. The vintage Bakelite jewelry collection is huge. If you like jewelry, this is the place to shop. The prices are great and the selection is large. It is a great store for gifts and items for myself. There are so many different collections at such great prices. Be prepared to spend some time there because there is so much to look at. In Gaslight & Shadows, you actually are talking to the owner Phyllis, who has so much love and knowledge of her items. This is my favorite store in San Francisco.
