Review content:
My wife and I never really go downtown... but after today I just might find myself wandering around there more often. I found BATSAKES HAT SHOP while searching the net for a local place to try and buy my Kangol 504s. I was apprehensive about visiting a store in downtown Cincinnati... parking issues and such. I was VERY happy with the experience. The wife and I took the baby and her stroller and ended up wandering up and down several streets. I stopped by Batsakes and met the friendly people who run the store... bought a black Kangol Tropic 504 and admired some of the handmade and production hats. After visting some other local spots I stopped by Batsakes again and purchased a brown Kangol Tropic 504. Gus (the hat guy) told me a few stories of the oldtimer baseball guys who have visited the shop over the years and gave my 5 1/2 month old daughter a baseball (signed by the hat guy himself). All in all it was a fun outing and great hat buying experience. Batsakes is one heck of a reason to go downtown. You might be surprised what you find there.
Pros: Nice selection of different hats and sizes. As always, you can try on the hat before buying it.
Cons: You can find cheaper hats online... but you miss out on walking around downtown with your new hat and of course you can't see what you are buying until it arrives.
