I used to take clients here for lunch meetings years ago and the owner was always friendly and the food was consistently good but always over priced... However about 6 mo. ago I went for lunch late (around 2pm) and they close at three I think. The older ""Grandpa"" sushi chef acted mad I was there and I could hardly order anything because he was ignoring me. So I stopped going for a while but today I felt like treating myself to some GREAT Sushi ... no matter the cost ...I was hungry! I went in at 1:15 pm and I was the only customer there. A nice man seated me and asked me what I wanted to drink. I ordered some tea and soup and with a qick glance at the specials ordered some Oysters to start. The waitress never came over ... after a long wait the host brought me my drink and soup and said the oysters would be right out... I was already planning to order a few more items when the bus boy brought the Oysters out and put them on the bar behind the counter... Still no chef in sight. Finally after another long wait the ""grandpa chef"" poked his head out from the kitchen. he ignored me and my open oysters while he begain to restock his bar with ice and new fish from the back walking back and forth never acknowledging me... finally the host spoke to the chef and said I was waiting for my oysters. the chef continued to do what ever for about five more min. the he started dressing the open oysters with out ever washing his hands. I kept looking at the host in disbelief. then the chef gave me the oysters and I was so hungry and had waited so long I considered just eating them. I thought well let me squeeze some lemon on them to kill the germs from his hands and picked up the lemon that was totally dry and rotten on one side. For the first time in my life I sent it back and refused to eat there. DON""T WAIST YOUR $$$$$
