Although I buy new furniture rarely and with a certain sense of trepidation, my experience with Viking Trader was a very good one, for two primary reasons: excellent service, and reasonable prices for sound, attractive furniture. Specifically, I was in the market for a modest dining table and four complementary chairs. On the floor, both Ann and Haakan went out of their way to accommodate my objectives, which I readily admit were changeable and indecisive at first. The store willingly took back the first table I selected (too small) and delivered a second table from a different line that same afternoon. This time, however, I was bothered by what I saw as a flaw in the wood grain (which I grant, however, was strictly a matter of personal opinion). Back went the second table, and I was invited to examine two other table tops that first had to be unboxed in the warehouse behind the store. After doing this, I then turned around and selected a table made from an entirely different kind of wood, which was delivered to me just a few hours later ? and which I continue to be extremely pleased with. Although this is not a large store, the selection of modern and Scandinavian-style furniture on display is handsome and comprehensive, with a fairly broad price range. All in all I found 1) the staff (including the two delivery men) to be friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful, and 2) insofar as I am able to judge, a stock of solid-quality furniture on display, and 3) fair prices, which were even more reasonable during the sale period when I bought my goods. In sum, I can say I am a very satisfied customer who would recommend Viking Trader without hesitation to anyone in the market for new furniture.
