I have lived in Galveston my whole life and have always loved Gaido's food. After having the chance to work there, I've found that Gaidos does serve their food fresh everyday. The cooks even go so far as to cut the ""fishy taste"" (fat) off the fish before they cook them for you, a luxury provided by only a select few restaurants. Gaidos has great food and great service. They stay busy almost year round. Even off season, there is sometimes a wait. You can look at having to wait as a bad thing but I take it to mean that the food must be good and the people can't stay away. But don't knock it til you try it. Gaidos is great and I don't know of any employees who would say that about the place that they work in food service.
Pros: Great service, Good food & selection, Classy or Casual
Cons: tad bit pricy, sometimes a wait
