Everything went great. We were uncertain of what type of floor we wanted. Our house was all tile, and we didn't want to have to rip it all up. Hammonds Wood Floors suggested engineered floors.
I hadn't been in a house with engineered floors before and was worried that it might be noisy, like Pergo. It isn't noisy at all. The floor came out beautifully. It looks like hardwood flooring, and it is nice because it doesn't have any particle board in it.
Hammonds Wood Floor also did the installation for us. I was worried because I have a lot of allergies and asthma, and I was afraid of all the dust and the finish. They helped us pick a particular floor that was pre-finished. They were also very careful while working. They brought a hepa filter to get all the dust. There was really no mess and nothing to bother me.
Everyone at Hammonds has their own job that they are great at, whether that is sales, installation, or customer service. Of course everyone interacts together, but they are each good at what they do. The main thing is that they have been in business for 28 years, and even in this economy they are running a local business.
I think the reason for their success is the way they treat their customers, and the fact that they know their product. They stand behind their work and do a good job.
