I recently purchased a breakfast table and 4 chairs from Four Hands. They have a pretty good selection of tables that are more unique than other big box furniture stores. They were having a sale when I went in, and I called later to get more info on something we had looked at. Sales people were very helpful and NOT at all pushy like some commission stores. Not a cheap place, but I would recommend them for their unique selection if you are looking for something that not everyone else is going to have.
Pros: Unique items, friendly sales reps, no waiting - can take home right then
Cons: Not a HUGE selection, prices somewhat high when not on sale
