Shells was within walking distance of our hotel. We went for dinner on a Sunday night. We ordered Crab Cakes and Grilled Wahoo. I will say that the seafood entrees were fresh, flavorful and very delicious...no complaints there. The problem is that our entrees were served with plain dry white rice (not seasoned with anything at all) and a small portion of bland steamed veggies. We left feeling like we had not had a complete meal. We were not served any salad or even bread prior to the meal. The total was right at $60 for the 2 of us. Shells could greatly improve if they were to serve up some tasty side dishes to go along with their entrees. When your this close to the coast, most all restaurants are going to serve up fresh & flavorful seafood. We would not recommend Shells, you can find comparable seafood at most any other place in Port Aransas!
