Review content:
This is your only choice in the city of Walnut Creek for any kind of decent selection of Japanese foods.
The shelves are packed and dusty, the aisle small and crowded (even if there are only 2 people in the store) but there are some treasures in here. No fresh produce to speak of (one very small area that includes prepackaged items).
People are always buying meat and fish when I shop there so they must be okay (I have no idea, I don't eat it.)
The guys who work there have always been respectful and helpful so I give them points for customer service and decent prices. But they lost points for the lack of general cleanliness of the place. But hey - I find things here that I would have to drive a long way to find elsewhere and I am used to shops like this.
Pros: Lots of imported Japanese stuff
Cons: Small, crowded, kinda dirty
