Review content:
Sullivan's is the typical traditional steakhouse, with a great clubby atmosphere, a solid bar, and excellent food. The martinis are solid, and the appetizers are solid if you stick to the basics...shrimp cocktail, etc. The crabcakes were solid crab, but overcooked to the point of nearly ruining a respectable serving of crabmeat, and the sauce was mundane. If they have stone crab claws avoid them; they are outrageouly expensive and don't have the flavor of the Miami original. All entrees come with a nice blue cheese iceberg salad, and the bread is hot. The steaks are the usual high quality meat in huge portions but at a slightly lower price than usual. Sides are fabulous; I always go for the creamed spinach, the au gratin spuds, and the incredible onion rings. Dessert disappoints; the creme brulee is enormous but thin and too warm.
Pros: steaks, sides, salad
Cons: desserts
