Review content:
My husband and I went to the Slocum House for our anniversary last weekend. There has been a large difference of opinion by past reviewers as to whether the Slocum House is romantic or outdated. To me, this place has a timeless romance to it. If, however, you consider romantic to be chic and modern, you will probably find this place drab and stuffy. It definitely caters to an older crowd- we were easily the youngest people there.
Pros: romantic, wonderful food
Cons: not the best desserts
