Review content:
We were given a gift card by a client of ours to the Slocum House. We had been there before and found the food was not worth the price but decided to try Sunday Brunch. We had made reservations to sit outside and we were seated at the ONLY table with no umbrella. We asked to be moved only to be told it was the only seat available. Our waiter was simply awful, the worst I have ever had but the food was very good, surprisingly good. The bad service overshadowed the food. We waited for over 35 minutes to order (anything) and then had to wait another 25 mintues for the check! We gave Kent the gift card when he finally gave us the bill. He came trotting back (the fastest he had moved in 2 hours)...yes we were there for over 2 hours! He said Wow! you have a lot of money left on this card, how about I add my tip to it. My husband said, no we would pay cash for the tip. He was gone another 10 minutes and finally came back to bring us the card but nothing else. Pros: nice setting Cons: They hire thiefs
