Businiess name:  Thai Siam Restaurant

Having moved to Salt Lake only 6 weeks ago, we're still working on finding great places in and around the city. The Thai Siam definitely qualifies! As anyone who loves Thai food and has young kids will know, it is sometimes challenging to find a restaurant that is appropriately kid friendly, but is also authentic and grown-up friendly. I can honestly say that we've found one! Be advised though, if you have picky kids who are unwilling to try new things, this may not be the place: there is no kids menu, and no ""American"" food either. That's my kind of place! If this doesn't deter you, know that the staff is incredibly attentive and excellent with kids. From asking how their first week of school was, to recommending things that they may like, we couldn't have been happier. Our family of four shared 3 entrees: Pad Thai Shrimp, Thai Basil Stir-Fry, and Sweet and Sour Stir-Fry. A big bowl of sticky rice is provided for the table. My husband and I also had hot Thai tea. All of this was amazing! I am admittedly a Pad Thai snob, and theirs is exquisite! After dinner we shared 2 desserts: the mango rice, and the fried bananas with coconut ice cream. Both were to die for! They were sweet and fulfilling, without being overly gooey or too sweet. When we were ready to go, we boxed up some of each entree, and they even brought us a fresh to-go container of rice to take with us as well! And best of all, all of these left-overs were just as tasty the next day for lunch - even the rice! The restaurant also has a website with their full menu for lunch, dinner, and take-out, so you can plan before you go. Overall we were incredibly impressed, and we highly recommend it!
