Living in rural Vermont, I had to drive a bit to get a good selection of stores to shop for my wedding dress. My mom flew into Hartford, CT, from Ohio, and together we scoured the city's bridal stores. Not sure of our timeline, we had made appointments at some, not at others. Those we didn't have appointments at accommodated us graciously, even if they couldn't provide one-on-one service due to other customers with appointments. We walked into Stars without an appointment, and when a sales lady came over, my mom explained this, but asked if we could ""take a look around and try on a few things"" anyways. The saleswoman responded nastily with ""What KINDS of things?"". Gee lady, it's a dress shop- what do you think we want to try on? She continued to be very rude, saying that she had to bring all the dresses out to us and she really just didn't have the time to do it. At that point I pulled my mom out of the store and we left. If a representative from the store reads this, please let your perma-tanned saleswoman with the badly dyed blond hair know that there are dozens of other stores in the Hartford area to spend $1000 dollars in.
