Review content:
My 1st contact with Apollo Credit was when I received a collection letter from them on a matter that was over 5 years old. When I talked the person in charge with my account, I told her that the 3 year statue of limitations had passed and that they could not take this case to court to get the money I supposedly owed. The rep told me that they weren't going to go to court against me but would do everything to collect this money from me, including landing on my credit report. I then went to US BANK (where this all started - don't even let me get started with them...) and was told by the manager there to write a demand letter to present the documentation from Apollo. I did as he instructed and at the same time contested the ding on my credit report. Apollo sent out a false affidavit saying they had all documentation in house - well they didn't! After getting my demand letter for documentation, the rep called me back and said she's removing the ding from my credit report. After another hour of arguing with her, I also received a letter stating that fact. The funny thing is that this all happened a year ago. It is now Feb. 15th, 2008 and I just received ANOTHER letter from Apollo which stated that they got the documentation and that they still want the money. All they sent was a copy of the final statement but not the follow up documentation proving that the charges were bogus. Now I will take them to court, along with US BANK and see how THEY like to be harassed!!! Cons: Attitude, cheating, lying, breaking the law
