It has taken nearly 7 months since I placed my order with Ashley Furniture for a bedroom set for the order to be completed. Initially, we ordered a dresser, nightstand, bed frame and drawers to fit under the frame. When the pieces were delivered several weeks later (pieces are made as they are ordered, not stored in a warehouse somewhere), the drawers were broken, which didn?t really matter as the clerk who helped us apparently didn?t realize that the drawers didn?t fit under the style of bed we chose. So, back into the truck with the broken drawers, and as it was a ?rookie clerk? mistake the bed that would fit the drawers was ordered. On initial delivery, the dresser was dinged with some of the finish removed, so we were told that someone would be calling to schedule that repair. It took me several calls to ultimately get the repair scheduled, and unfortunately the person who repaired the dresser covered the chip in the white paint with off white paint. To make matters worse, they tried to cover up the mistake by spraying random other off white spots on the dresser. I guess the theory was that it would look like we bought it that way. Apparently the tech didn?t turn around and look at the matching nightstand and bed that had absolutely no off white spots. Totally obvious. The new bed arrived (and again, this is another 4 hour block of time that one of us had to be at the house: so far we?re up to 3 ? initial delivery, bed re-delivery, repair) without incident. I call to complain to the warehouse about the junky repair on the dresser and never hear a word. After repeated calls, I?m told that a new dresser had been ordered (and the clerk made it sound like I should have known, but if no one tells you, I?m not sure how you?re supposed to know.). The drawers are delivered. Again, they are broken. No one apparently checks these things before loading them in the truck. 6 weeks later, drawers are delivered again. Again, they are broken. 6 weeks later another set of drawers are delivered. Almost hysterically, again, they are broken. The delivery guy notes that the main warehouse in some other city has probably been trying to repair the same set of broken drawers. We write on the ticket ?delivery refused, we want new drawers not repaired drawers.? I call the warehouse on Monday. Supposedly this order has been placed. I hear nothing for weeks, and go into the store personally to complain (time number 2 for in person). Noting, interestingly, that of the three registers they have up front, at this visit, all three of them have an upset customer. Each time I call or go in I have to tell the whole story because the ticket on their computer looks totally messed up by now. Someone does refund my delivery fee, finally. I was offered in store credit worth more than the delivery, but at this point would rather cut off my hand than start a new process with Ashley. The new dresser arrives. They offer to schedule delivery. We?d rathe
