Review content:
I've lived on Hollywood Beach for over 20 years. I went to Le Tub back then and a few times over the years. It's got the rustic atmosphere of a deteriorating shipwreck. It's an open air restaurant and there's trees in it and this is SoFla so , yeah, you might see some insects and lizards about on the patio or dock, but I cant im agine there's anything keeping them out of the ""kitchen "", which is a 5 x 5 enclosed area on the dock basically. I doubt a health inspector has ever been in here. There's not much more on the menu than a chicken sandwich, burger, fries and a couple other things. So my friend who knows the owner wanted to eat there. I figured I'd try the burger that Oprah crowned even though she's never eaten one she just went on her friend's opinion. The server even told me it's just regular ground beef and they don't do anything special to it. It's just a big 1/2 lb burger that they know they can charge you $11 for and if you want cheese it's extra. So I order one Medium Well, just til the pinks gone in the middle and he says it'll be an hour and a half because they're packed. I said alright i'll have a beer and we'll at our table on the intracoastal. So he brings my food in about an hour and my burger is literally black like a charcoal briquette with at least an 1/8 inch rock hard crust around it . I told him i ordered it medium well and he tells me, get this, they all come out like that. So, my friend says you have to come when whoever the shmuck cook was at the time was isn't on duty yet. I tried to eat the center because I wasn't going to wait another hour for something else and I didn't feel like making a scene, I just wanted to chill out. So, the moral of the story is, personally I like the Le Dump atmosphere to hang and have a drink, but I couldn't in good conscience recommend anyone eat there.
Pros: rustic atmosphere by the water
Cons: food is a risk and way over priced
