1. Before surgery, the nurse put the needle into my arm to start the local. She missed my vein. I shrieked and told her this. She waited 5 minutes before deciding I was correct, and then asked the anesthesiologist to place a needle in my hand. 2. I came out of surgery in pain. I 'woke up' by myself, crying and in pain. 3. The staff told my husband that I was ready in the recovery room, and then couldn't find me. They'd misplaced me. How they managed to misplace me in their recovery room, I don't know, but my husband found me, crying, by myself and in pain. This was an awful experience and really reinforced my fear of medical procedures and hospitals. I think it is inexcusable for medical staff to misplace a patient.
