Save your money. Do NOT rent from Cudjoe Boat Rentals.
The boat my husband, 18 month old son, and I rented was a 30 foot Sea Ray. The railing on the swim platform was loose, we were not provided with a GPS, the canopy pins all fell out over the course of the day causing the canopy to swing madly about, and both the starboard and portside engines died leaving us stranded in our attempt to return the boat to its owners. My husband, our 18 month old son, and I rented the boat with the hopes of fishing and snorkeling for three days. The boat provided to us was a safety hazard and should have never been rented. We would not have paid $1000 to own it, let alone $1375 to rent it for three days. When both engines failed we had to use the radio to call the Coast Guard. My husband named the boat ?Rental Disaster? and the Coast Guard should have a recording of our conversations. The Coast Guard ordered us to anchor the boat and called the owners of the boat rental company to let them know our approximate location. As storms were brewing all around us, we had to use the flare gun to flag down a passing boat so they could take us to safety onshore.
The owners of Cudjoe Boat Rental promised to refund us for all but the cost of a half day rental; however two weeks have gone by and they have not done so. They also have not answered our phone calls or returned the voicemails we have left for them.
Do not risk your lives. Do not rent from ""Cudjoe""!!
