Despite the $20 ticket fee, Newseum is totally worth it - you don't exactly have to love watching the news to love this place. The museum itself does a great job of showcasing American history in pop culture in a different light than the American History Museum, for example, by connecting events to the ways they were recorded or represented in the media. The museum is especially great if you love photography or film - there's a great exhibit on Photos of the Year and an interactive area where you can be in a ""newscast."" Adults will especially enjoy the Newseum on a nostalgic level; I'm an 80s baby but seeing pieces of one the Twin Towers and standing inside a section of the Berlin Wall brought back memories of seeing these events unfold on tv. Newseum is definitely an experience that both tourists and locals should try.
