I hate driving to Oklahoma City to go to the hospital, but Mercy makes it well worth the drive. I have had to go to Mercy several times recently for outpatient diagnostic procedures, as well as other outpatient surgical procedures. I was very nervous before each procedure, as I knew that they would be very painful. The staff at Mercy was wonderful at helping me feel at ease. They do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with employees who are happy to make your visit as pleasant as possible. They offer valet services to all patients, as well as visitors. When you walk in, someone immediately greets you and helps you find exactly where you need to go. Their admitting employees are very, very friendly and efficient. They don't treat you like just another case, they are friendly and welcoming. My favorite part of Mercy Hospital, however, is definitely the nursing staff. Just one example of how wonderful they are, and there are many, many more, this is just my most recent one... I went in a few weeks ago for a horrible procedure on my back. I was completely terrified, as they warned me ahead of time about how painful this procedure would be. One nurse held my hand throughout the entire procedure! Yes, I am in my thirties, but I still cannot tell you how helpful and comforting that was!!!!! And the wonderful thing is, all the nurses I have met here are that great!!! I am going in for back surgery soon, and although not looking forward to the procedure, I am very comforted and confident, knowing that it will be done at Mercy Hospital.
